Yo! Who missed me? Lol. I really missed posting on the blog. After the incident I posted the last time, I became extremely ill and got admitted to the hospital for the first time in my 21 years on earth. But the devil is only a liar, aye? Glory to Jesus!

My Nigerian People-my age mates, specifically. Who remembers the Kids Know Better, a.k.a KKB show that used to be aired on, Silverbird TV, I think.

You do?

Awesome!! One of my friends was on that show at the time.

You’d definitely remember this phrase yeah?

“My meat, my personal meat”! It was an anthem in the mouth of every kid then! Lol.

Well, I rephrased because I got a Ship! Yeaaah, that’s right! Something worth more to me than my meat (I love to eat meat so much,by the way). Without much ado, and like Meche(she’s my spiritual daughter, just in case you’re new here). Let’s go visit Brother Luke, shall we?

Luke 5:1-2

“And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,

And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets”.

Let’s pause there. Tell me, what did you notice in the above passage? Nothing…yet?

Let’s be a lil more illustrative.

Two Ships representing two humans created by God, standing idle and were empty. You could pen that down if you will. Let’s go a bit further

Vs. 3

“And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship”.

Glory! Something happened! You still did not see it?

There were two ships but He entered into one of the ships, He didn’t even know whose ship was it, he randomly entered. Now, that’s grace! Simon got graced. He even prayed him, please know that in those days, to pray someone in today’s language is to beg that person, plead with the person for a request. Jesus prayed Simon to use his Ship for a ministerial work! Simon really had no idea what had happened at that moment, something that was about to change his life forever! Please remember, the owner of the other ship was not disclosed, Grace did not recognise him..

Vs. 4-6

“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.

And Simon answering said unto him, Master we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake”.

There is something about saying ‘Yes Lord’. Simon had no idea what was gonna happen but he said “nevertheless at thy word, I will”!

And his net broke!!!

If you’d read through to verse 8-10, Simon was beginning to come to the realisation of the Man who came into his ship and he confessed that he was a sinful man but my darling Jesus, said it didn’t matter and told him he was not going to catch fishes anymore but MEN!

A lot of us who are ministers of God take the grace of God for granted and even cliché, we don’t get called up to speak at church programs or seminars because we just have the words or know the Bible back to back, we do not get called up to come minister in songs just because we have the voice or skill! We are simply graced. There are over a thousand people in your country and in the world who have the same wonderful gifts as you but God chose you, he chose to enter your Ship. That’s why you’re known, everyone knows you and celebrate your gift. The other guy whose ship stood with Peter, did not offend Jesus, Grace didn’t just choose to enter his ship and make use of it! How many of you are guilty of Jesus praying you to please let him use your ship-you! But give no heed? How many of you are still negotiating with the Holy Spirit when he instructs you? Grace is free, but it is not cheap and it’s beyond price. You know that Jesus has entered your ship(you) already, let him have his way. Use your gift and the grace He has bestowed you with Catch men for him! Let him take ownership so that you can say boldly “My Ship is God’s vessel and tool for revival and kingdom business. And Christ, in turn would say she/he is my ship, my personal ship”! and not envy someone else’s grace, for every gift, there is a measure of grace attached so don’t get all envious to see someone maximise his grace.

May the Good Lord help and teach us.

Happy new month!!
